Currently in darfur the janjweed a military organization hired by the government is killing all the people in the country. starting in 2003 the genocide has killed 400,000 and displaced over 2,500,000. over 5,00 people die every month. Since the genocide began in 2003 two militant groups composed of citizens have tried to stop things yet have only made themselves open to the goverment. once these groups formed it left the goverment open to use militant groups of any form

i belive that genocide could happen in modern day times. This would work because people believe all the lies they are told. even now in africa there is one group of people trying to kill the other. it would start small and then gradually grow to consume entire nations
